stefano vivaldini portrait of composer Stefano Vivaldini is a musician, composer and author. His music is performed by many artists in the major festivals worldwide. In his compositions, he includes many different musical languages, from the past to the present, and from classical to electronic music in a style defined as 'eclectic'. In addition to this, his main aim is to experiment with all the arts and to unite them through music, which is why he is actively involved in theatre, cinema, poetry, painting and whatever art can enrich his compositions.

Since he began his formal training at Liceo Musicale in Cremona, Italy with Eleonora Pasquali, Stefano has also taken a variety of masterclasses. These masterclasses were instructed by reputable musicians such as Frédéric Zigante, Giulio Tampalini, Andrew Zohn, Aniello Desiderio, Adriano Del Sal, Antigoni Goni, Zoran Dukić, Margarita Escarpa, and many others.

Beginning in 2016, he studied under the Italian guitarist Giampaolo Bandini at Boccherini Music Institute. He graduated in 2019 with a thesis written about the transcription for guitar of a sonata composed by the lutenist, Sylbius Leopold Weiss. Presently, he is attending a master by Antigoni Goni at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. He specializes in the study of the music created by Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco.

In collaboration with the civic museum Ala Ponzone in Cremona, Italy, he played vintage guitars by reputable luthiers. In addition, he recorded a CD in which he played pieces written by famous historical composers on historical guitars dating back to 1843 and 1884. He also partnered with Roberta Gennuso to form a guitar "duo Hybla", where they focused on playing transcribed piano music.

In May of 2019, Stefano conducted a concert dedicated to his own music, The festival Lucca Classica is a prestigious international event, and it was a proud life-defining moment to be able to lead a concert there. In addition, in the same year, he performed three concerts in Texas. In 2020, he was honored to have his guitar suite “Transparenze” the subject of a master thesis written by Davide Picci.

In addition to being a dedicated guitar performer, he is committed to composing his own works and publishing his own pieces. In 2021, he published his first album called “20 February 2021” which is an ambient album that was recorded all in one day. Furthermore, he has composed music and written scripts for several plays including “Genesi Notturna”, his first play at the age of fifteen, and “Viaggi della Ragazza Imobile”.

He was recognized as a featured director and performer in “Genesi Notturna”, and he served as a director and conductor for his second play “Viaggi della Ragazza Imobile”. Currently, he is working on several pieces for important international festivals and theaters. To further his reach in the world of music, Stefano created his first publishing house in 2017. Il Salice specializes in published high-quality texts complete with illustrations and handmade binding. His first book, 10 Reflective Studies, includes ten studies for solo guitar and it has been translated to Spanish as well as English.

When he is not composing and is away from his guitar, Stefano enjoys exploring different art forms such as photography and cinema. Travelling to different countries allows him to observe how people from various cultures and backgrounds interpret and enjoy his music. Even when he is not practicing music or creating compositions, he still finds a way to relate everyday life to his musical ventures.
